Celebrating 5 years of McCat's Log!
Well, we have just ticked over five years of sharing our antics and hired help hacks with you, thank you all so very much for following our log!
McCat's Log originally started on the hired help’s personal Facebook page, cause let’s face it, people needed to know about the malarkey that was going on in this joint! We were living in beautiful Central Otago, New Zealand at the time and enjoyed big wide-open spaces, snow, frost and very, very warm summers. The hired help of course enjoyed the wine with vineyards practically on their back doorstep, looking back, it is a wonder anything got done!
After a couple years of roaming the great outdoors, the hired help decided to head back to their original hometown of Auckland, New Zealand. We all packed up, and flew together on the two hour trip north. Living back in suburbia took some getting used to, but we soon got the hang of loitering around the neighbour’s houses looking for belly rubs and treats, and boy were we spoilt!
We are now settled in Auckland, the hired help seemed to have benefitted from not having vineyards so close and their work ethic is marginally improved.
We have experienced some great sadness along the way with the loss of our brothers Zeus and then Charlie. The hired help still talk of them often and now share funny stories of their antics, they will always be a part of our family and as such, you will see their pictures and videos from time to time appear on the log – gone but never forgotten.
We FINALLY got some real professional input on the log with the help of MTL Marketing. Thanks to them, we are now on Instagram and TikTok! Yes, these two accounts are still above the maid’s paygrade so thankfully MTL Marketing have it sussed!
We have some exciting projects on the radar for this year, and of course more antics from our fine selves to come, so stay tuned!
